Sr Estimator for US Construction Company - Construction

Stafi is searching for a Senior Estimator to join a US Construction Team to Work in the Bahamas In this role, you will be tasked with calculating major construction cost approximations and playing a key role in project planning, development, negotiation, and contract execution.

To excel as a senior estimator, strong communication skills and meticulous attention to detail are essential. Exceptional senior estimators possess the ability to negotiate effectively with diverse professionals, accurately estimate both time and cost, and adeptly address arising issues.

Candidates must be fluent in English and Spanish, both written and spoken. Only resumes in English will be considered.

Responsibilities of a Senior Estimator:

• Assessing the complete cost encompassing materials, equipment, utilities, and labor for construction ventures.
• Analyzing construction documents and scrutinizing specifications.
• Creating estimates to facilitate planning, organization, and scheduling of project activities.
• Overseeing pre-qualification and pre-bid submissions.
• Crafting estimates aligning with project objectives, including setting work hours, task sequencing, material procurement, and obtaining favorable terms with vendors and subcontractors.
• Ensuring timely submission of relevant documents and budgets prior to bid deadlines.
• Providing regular project updates to management and clients.
• Developing contingency plans and proficiently managing potential risks impacting cost and time estimates.
• Staying informed about the latest estimating technology and industry-relevant methodologies.
• Collaborating with cross-functional teams, conducting site visits, and offering additional services like bid deliveries as needed.

Requirements

• Possession of a Bachelor's degree in civil or architectural engineering, construction management, or an equivalent field.
• Extensive experience as an estimator within the construction sector.
• Exceptional skills in time management, multitasking, and interpersonal communication.
• Profound expertise in management and negotiation.
• Demonstrated ability to collaborate closely with other project teams and stakeholders.
• Strong capabilities in research, proposal writing, and oral presentation.
• In-depth knowledge of industry best practices and standards.
• Advanced computer proficiency and proven competency with software such as ProContractor, Sage Estimating, or CoConstruct.
• Willingness and ability to travel extensively and conduct on-site visits.
