Overview:
The CDC Foundation seeks candidates for a full-time Grants Manager to support the Arizona Department of Health Services. The position will report to the Chief of the Office of Healthcare-Associated Infections, and work under the general direction of the Office Chief and program managers to provide support to office staff within the various programs in the Office of Healthcare-Associated Infections.This is an outstanding opportunity to work with the nation’s leading agency charged with protecting the public's health. Qualifications:
Bachelor’s Degree required 2+ years of experience drafting contracts, including scope of work and price sheet General knowledge of the principles and practices of public health, public health agencies, and their services Experience working with governmental agencies, non-profit organizations, healthcare organizations, and educational institutions Experience using computer software, including MS Office or Google Workspace Knowledge of governmental contracts, grants, and cooperative agreements’ management cycle design, monitoring, and evaluation Organizational and management skills to ensure tasks and activities are on track to meet target deadlines and due dates Ability to plan, organize, and provide administrative support to other team members Ability to work collaboratively; willingness to establish and maintain effective working relationships Ability to use critical thinking to determine whether a problem exists and present ideas accurately, concisely, and effectively Ability to prepare, present, and review oral and written information and reports Initiative and resourcefulness in gathering and compiling information Ability to develop, recommend, interpret, and apply policies and procedures Ability to analyze financial records and prepare reports Willingness to support a diverse multi-cultural workforce that reflects the community, promotes equal opportunity at all levels of public employment, and creates an inclusive work environment that enables all individuals to perform to their fullest potential free from discrimination Experience with Continuous Quality Improvement (CQI) and Lean methodologies preferred

Responsibilities:
Manage and coordinate post-award contracts such as requests for proposals, intergovernmental agreements (IGA), interagency service agreements (ISA), and MOU/data sharing agreements under the direction of Program Managers and the Office Chief Work with the department’s procurement team and program staff to identify appropriate contract types to implement; ensure appropriate documents are entered into approved state systems Draft contracts and see them through to final signature, ensuring that contracts are developed and executed in accordance with state and/or federal requirements and department priorities Develop and negotiate budgets and scope of work with contractors to ensure costs, proposed activities, and deliverables are reasonable, allowable, and allocable using state and/or federal regulations, policies, and procedures Monitor and update contracts as needed in a timely manner, working within the appropriate timeframes with program staff, contractors, and the procurement team to meet deadlines Monitor the status of all contracts’ work in progress for the Office, and ensure tasks, activities, and deliverables have been completed or are on track to be completed within the timeframe stated in the contract Track award administration, including the reviewing and monitoring of each payment for compliance with funder requirements Organize and file contract related documents appropriately for tracking and documentation purposes Schedule monthly meetings with program staff to review all contract activities and provide routine status update
