Role Location: This role will be based in one of the Trócaire offices in Central America: Guatemala City (Guatemala), Tegucigalpa (Honduras) or Managua (Nicaragua) with travels to the other countries in the region.

In a dynamic and rapidly evolving funding context, Trócaire is seeking to increase both the amount and diversity of its institutional funding portfolio. The successful candidate will work in close collaboration with the country management teams; the Regional Institutional Relationship Manager and the Global Partnership and Funding Unit to identify new funding prospects, build strategic relationships with potential donors and prepare high quality funding applications. S(he) will also support country teams to manage funds in accordance with Trócaire and donor guidelines, ensuring the highest standards of grant management and reporting.
Trócaire supports ground-breaking programmes in the areas of Women’s Empowerment/Gender-based Violence, Access to Resources, Human Rights/Transitional Justice and Disaster Preparedness and Response. The current donor portfolio includes grants from Irish Aid, the European Commission, ECHO, Sister Caritas Agencies and Trusts and Foundations.
Reporting to the Country Director where the position is located with close coordination and input from the other Country Directors and Regional Institutional Relationship Manager/GPFU Manager. This is a Fixed Term Contract of 2 years (with the possibility of extension) Contingent on funding growth, the candidate may be able to develop and manage a funding team.
